Vice is the story of the life and political career of former Vice President Dick Cheney, an early-model Antichrist that Satan sold to the US in exchange for its soul.
This is a tough one to review. The movie is excellent but I’m not sure what I think about this guy Cheney. I might be going out on a limb here, but I reckon he might have been not too great hey.
It’s possible that the man responsible for the most tyrannical and dictator-y use of executive powers in US history, who in the chaos and fear following the tragedy of 9/11 covertly and ruthlessly oversaw the implementation of torture, kidnapping and rendition, mass surveillance of US citizens and the inflation and manipulation of faulty intelligence that led to the invasion of Iraq and ultimately the creation of ISIS, costing hundreds of thousands of civilian lives and trillions of dollars along the way, might not be too much of a good dude.
I just not sure.
Because there are also moments of exquisite humanism to Dick Cheney though. For example, he is seen smiling a few times throughout the movie. At one point he has hair. That’s about it, but it certainly does make you think.
