A report on the public reaction to Kanye West’s meeting with President Donald Trump has concluded that it totally makes sense that this would happen and it seems about right for the way things are going.
The report’s conclusions were drawn from an aggregate of data from the social media response to the meeting, as well as measuring the audio levels of heads hitting desks across the country.
The report found that images from the Oval Office of performance artists Mr Trump and Mr West meeting have surprised literally no one.
“Yeah, obviously this would happen,” said one respondee interviewed in the study.
“Honestly I’m kind of numb to this stuff at this point,” said another.
Rapper Kanye West has a long history of ridiculous, rambling tirades and absurd statements about politics, which made a sit-down with President Trump a meeting of like minds.
Lead researcher Gary Wolnok said his team didn’t measure the effect of the news on people who had actually sat and thought about what was happening.
“We didn’t have the courage to ask people if they considered how close both Kanye West and Donald Trump were sitting to the nuclear launch codes at the same time,” he said.
“Some things are best left unthought.”
